4.301 | Introduction to Artistic Experimentation

This course is an introduction to artistic practice and critical visual thinking. The yearly changing thematic focus of the class is explored through readings and historical contextualization, analysis of artistic practices related to the topic, as well as two studio based projects about shaping time and body extension. Students are lead through various stages of conceptual development, while also learning about materials and techniques.
