Open to ACT graduate students only.

ACT Studio will focus on how various practices and terminologies—and by extension their histories—are currently being rethought, as well as how these reconsiderations bear on what is now made, how it is encountered, diffused, and “placed,” as stories and historicizations continue to be created. Thinking critically and imaginatively in relation to all of the above will be among the endeavors in this Studio. Participants will also meet international practitioners working at the intersections of art, culture, and technology, all of whom engage in experimental or investigative approaches to forms of transmission ranging from Internet broadcast of spectator-sponsored programming, publications, exhibitions, cinema, performance, architecture, design, and forms of pedagogy in their sites of production.
