Guides students in an exploration of ways in which clothing signals one’s belonging to a group and reflects the degree of one’s conformity with established social or cultural norms as well as ways in which clothing and fashion may provide insights into broader cultural codes, societal politics, and processes of transformation.

Enrollment limited to 20 students.

Students taking a production-based ACT class will be charged a $75 lab fee after the add date on a semester basis. The fee covers the cost of student production materials used as part of the class. SMACT graduate students are exempt from the lab fee.
