DESCRIPTION:This exhibition is a reflection on Professor Emeritus Krzysztof Wodiczko’s essay “Un-War” and a call to put an end to perpetuating the culture of war we live in.\nThe displayed works are a part of an open call in response to the following prompts:\n​\nWhat does Un-War mean to you?\nWhat does it mean to build a culture of Un-War?\nWhat does a world of Un-War look like?\nHow do we dismantle the culture of war?\nHow do we build an Un-War coalition?\nHow do we break out of a mindset of war?\nWhat responsibility do we have in dismantling notions of war?\nWhat does a collective Un-War consciousness look like?\nWhat does an Un-War future look like?\nHow do we build an Un-War future?\nWhat do we need to change for an Un-War future?\nWhat does an Un-War framework look like? \nThis exhibition is possible thanks to the support of the Art\, Culture\, and Technology program and the work of the Un-War Exhibition committee:\nAzra Akšamija\, Chucho Ocampo\, Emma Zhu\, Felix Li\, Gearóid Dolan\, Graham Yeager\, Kevin McLellan\, and Marissa Friedman. \nArtwork from Ardalan SadeghiKivi\, Azra Aksamija\, Christopher Capozzola\, Doris Duanmu\, Gearóid Dolan\, Kelly Heaton\, Kevin McLellan\, Mersiha Veledar\, Nelida Nassar\, Raafat Majzoub\, Selin Sahin\, and Tyrone Serapio. \nThe exhibition is open and on-view in the ACT Corridor\, MIT Building E15-Second Floor\, during normal business hours.
