In her films, essays, installations, digital media works, architecture, sound-related works, and events, Renée Green investigates transcultural systems of relation and exchange, as well as the ways in which viewers read and extract meaning from combined systems while moving through space. Green, who was commissioned to create the MoMA Media Lounge, presenting the Museum’s extensive collection of video and audio-based works, joins MoMA for a discussion about the work she has produced for the Museum: the Media Bichos and Space Poem #3 (Media Bicho), which are being deployed in Phases. Late in May 2012, Phase 2 will be on view presenting 7 viewing units for MoMA’s constituency to peruse, and engage with New York’s Museum of Modern Art growing video and media collection.

Program approx. 90 min.
