17 Cox, the alternative gallery in Beverly, MA, presents Score for a Color Field, an exhibit by ACT grad student Floor van de Velde. In her work, van de Velde creates immersive installations using space, light, and sound that alter the viewer’s sense of perception and depth of field. She “fits into the tradition of painting with light pioneered in the 1960s by James Turrell and Dan Flavin,” writes the Boston Globe reporter Cate McQuaid. Read the full Boston Globe review. The show also received a glowing review in Art New England.

The exhibition runs until January 2, 2014. Click here for more information and press release.
