Profile

Dan was the Technical Instructor of the Visual Arts Program, where he demonstrated video camera technique, video editing and digital photography. He also managed the Interform Editing Lab, Grad Lab, and Media Equipment Checkout. His concentration was in Video Production, Lighting, Sound, Post-Production and Digital Photography.

Dan attended Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts where he earned a BA in drama and a BFA in experimental filmmaking. In a past life, Dan worked on film and video productions in the Boston area. He served as sound and assistant editor on productions for NOVA, This Old House and as an editor on experimental films and videos. Previously to his involvement in post-production, he spent four years lighting for independent films and videos.

Dan left MIT in 2009 to attend medical school.
