Writer in Residence 2015 - 2017

Lucas Freeman is ACT’s Writer in Residence, providing editorial and writing support for the program’s publications and events.

He joins ACT as an independent writer and editor working in primarily in academic publishing. In recent years, Lucas has contributed to journals such as Scapegoat and the Harvard Design Magazine and to many book projects and exhibits in the fields of art, architecture, and media and communications studies. He is trained as a political theorist (MA, Carleton; PhD, to the dissertation stage, University of Toronto) and has an evolving interest in the spatial consequences of political ideas and the rapid, technologically driven shifts in our modes of privacy and publicity.
