The Urbonas Studio developed The Learning Machine as a method to explore the symbolic relationship between women and the state, taking women’s voices as expressions of the psychological impact of the Cold War on multiple generations. Urbonas Studio is the collaborative practice of Nomeda Urbonas and ACT faculty Gediminas Urbonas. There will also be a special performance by pianist Amanda M. Moore, an ACT graduate student.
