“Lyn’s been a wanderer. What she enjoys increasingly is gaining deep understanding about where she is and where she’s been. She returns to places.”

This quote from Green’s film Endlesss Dreams and Water Between succinctly describes Sandlyn Ryder Hoving, Lyn, a fictitious character that first appeared in Green’s work in her first novel, Camino Road. This short book traces the early years of her sentimental education, traveling to Mexico, or exploring the bohemian milieu of 1980s New York.

Published as an artist book for the group exhibition The Raw and the Uncooked in the Museo Nacional de Arte Moderno Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, the book is published in English and Spanish, and includes an appendix with photographies and ephemera from Madrid’s 1980s movida.
