Profile

Combining database, archive, publisher and distributor, Library Stack collects, circulates and produces digital materials within the art and design fields. Its publications have included a handbook on Chinese typography; a history of graphic design and colonialism; an artists’ atlas of global weather; a sourcebook on environmental forensics; a compendium of queer typographic design; a reader on personhood in the age of AI; and an ongoing series of conversations on a new translation of Marx’s Capital.

Library Stack has written essays for Texte zur Kunst and Bulletins of the Serving Library, and contributed to BiblioTech (Torque Editions, 2026), an essay collection on post-digital library futures. Library Stack was co-founded by Erik Wysocan and Benjamin Tiven in 2016. In 2026, they co-directed the film Slow Dissolve with Andreas Bunte.
