Photograph of CAVS Fellow Carl Nesjar's moderl for an "all-year-fountain" in the form of a globe for the Moderna Museet, Stockholm. In summer fine spray from jets falls on the double helix rods of stainless steel. Larger drops collect on the steel. The inclination being about 2 degrees, the drops roll slowly downward, creating the visual impression that the globe is slowly rotating around its own axis. Photograph: Carl Nesjar.
