Mag. Dr. Astrid Kury, studied art history and jurisprudence in Graz and Vienna (in 1987-1993), in 1999 ph.D., in 1994-2004 lecturer at the Institute of Art History, and in 2022-2022 at the Institute of History of the Karl Franzens University of Graz, in 1994-2004 scientific employee of the interdisciplinary research project “Moderne. Wien und Zentraleuropa um 1900 / Modern Age. Vienna and Central Europe around 1900” at Karl Franzens University Graz, since 1998 as freelance curator (science and art). Currently, she is president of the Akademie Graz, an association for promoting art and science.

Exhibitions and Publications on poverty reduction in Austria, art activism of the Roma Community in Europe, inclusion in the cultural sector, linguistic landscapes, and language diversity. Recent exhibitions: The Austrian Romanes. 600 years in Austria, 30 years of ethnic groups recognition, Exhibition on behalf of the Austrian Parliament, Wien 2023. Atmospheres (Under Alien Skies): Art, Climate- and Space research, mobile pavilion of Showing Styria (regional exhibition of Styria), Vienna and Herberstein 2023.
