Ian Soroka is a documentarian concerned with the intersection of landscape, memory, and mythology. He works primarily in film and video though he has also been seen touring with a noise orchestra in Southeast Europe. His work has previously been exhibited at Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid, Doc Lisboa, and CURTAS Vila do Conde. Prior to pursuing a Masters at the Program in Art, Culture, and Technology at MIT, Ian was living as a Fulbright Fellow in Ljubljana, Slovenia and awarded a Princess Grace Fellowship in 2009. He studied cinema and philosophy in Colorado and Prague.
