The Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2019 Biennial will be held from May 17 through September 22. After reviewing the works of 300 artists, 75 artists were invited to participate in the Biennial. One of the artists featured is ACT alumna Tomashi Jackson (SMACT ’12), a first time participant. Her work in the Biennial focuses on the razing of Seneca Village to make way for the development of Central Park and echoes of that policy in current practices.
